Course Objectives
This class lasts only a semester. We will be discussing money, finances, etc. I would encourage all of you to ask questions, discuss these issues with your parents and family members. I am not interested in your personal finances, but I would like you to learn all you can about money while you are at home. Many parents do not discuss these issues with you, their children. Your homework would be something to talk about and share with them. Some of our topics will not happen to you immediately, but will somewhere in your lifetime. Personal finance is a subject that all of you should want to learn about.....no matter what career path you take......it can help you with the many financial decisions you will have to make.
We will cover over 20 chapters this quarter. That means we do not spend a lot of time on any one chapter/topic. Attendance is very important, as is doing your daily assignments. One topic builds on the last topic, so please stay caught up. Ask questions in class, participate in discussions.......that is how you learn. My expectations are for you to listen to, hear about, understand, and work with the following topics. I would hope that you will be prepared for class each day.
Recommended supplies: Chromebook, textbook, worksheets/handouts, pencils, pens, calculator
